Laurel obtained her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M, where she studied environmental science, water, and sustainable energy development. She continued her studies in energy and land use at the University of Colorado Law School, and expanded her skill set through litigating for large firms in the Denver-Fort Collins area before moving her practice to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2022.
