Tag Mosholder

Associate

Tag is an experienced trial attorney operating out of the Salida office. His primary focus is civil litigation. He provides practical legal advice that is thoughtful and thorough. And though he strives to avoid needless litigation, he is equipped with the skills to provide his clients with confident legal representation when those times arise.

Prior to joining JVAM, Tag served as a Deputy District Attorney for the City and County of Denver. There he served across several divisions, including most recently the Organized Crime Unit. With almost thirty jury trials under his belt, his experience ranges from DUI and traffic charges to first-degree murder.

Tag is no stranger to civil law. Prior to his time in the Denver District Attorney’s office Tag clerked for the Honorable Margaret Enquist in Jefferson County District Court, where he helped to manage a multi-disciplinary docket. During law school he was a summer associate at a Glenwood Springs law firm where he worked primarily on a multi-million-dollar civil fraud case.

Tag graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2019 where he served as the Production Editor of the University of Colorado Law Review, Volume 89. During that time, he focused on areas of environmental and energy law, particularly on those legal issues facing the Western United States. He was also a summer law-clerk for the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, where he worked on a statewide electricity-ratemaking case. Building on that experience he published an article in the Colorado Law Review’s online forum, which critically appraised the (then) regulation of the prison-telephone industry and suggested it adopt a model similar to that of public utilities.

Prior to law school Tag spent three years teaching Literature at an underserved high school in inner-city Denver. He is an enthusiastic outdoorsman, father, and die-hard Auburn sports fan. He is also (and perhaps most importantly) working diligently to become a community superfan of Salida High School basketball.
